In their Web Auction 25, Leu presents 4330 lots from the ancient, medieval, and modern worlds. Highlights are the collections of Lars Ramskold and Björn-Uwe Abels.

Ken McDevitt is the new Director of Leu Numismatik USA. The former Managing Numismatist at Classical Numismatic Group will represent Leu Numismatik in North America.

For the first time, Leu Numismatik will be offering a fixed-price list. The selection of 275 Celtic, Greek, Roman, Medieval, and modern coins and medals from numerous prestigious collections has a combined estimate of over 1.85 million CHF.

Auction house Leu Numismatik founds Leu Numismatik USA Inc. as a subsidiary. With this step Leu aims at improving the service for US customers as the US market is the most important sales market for the company.

The Leu Web Auction 22 was something special, because for the first time the focus of a Leu auction was on the Middle Ages and modern times instead of antiquity. The collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg, built up over decades, achieved an outstanding result.

Leu Numismatik will be offering the collection of Dr. Hans Krähenbühl with many outstanding portraits on ancient coins. Gathered over decades many high-quality pieces with excellent provenance return now to the market again.

Leu Numismatik’s 16th Web Auction achieved excellent prices. The Bentsen Collection, Rhakotis-Collection and Tesserae-Collection were particularly popular with the bidders.

Leu Numismatik is offering over 5,000 lots in its 16th web auction featuring coins from the Dr. P. Vogl and J. Knudsen Collections as well as the Rhakotis collection with rarities from Ptolemaic and Roman Alexandria.

1.5 million CHF - more than five time the total estimated - was the result of Leu Numismatics’ 15th online auction highlighted by a wonderful drachm with the portrait of Poppaea and an aureus of Numerian.

Leu Numismatik acquired the Dr. E. M. Pegan library. He used to be a well-known antiquarian for numismatic books in Munich and has built up his library over the last eight decades (sic!).
