Kolbe & Fanning sold the outstanding numismatic library built by former ANS President Syd Martin. More than ten lots closed at $10,000 or higher.

Kolbe & Fanning is offering the Sydney F. Martin Library, which according to the company is among the finest libraries formed on the subject of early American numismatics.

Kolbe & Fanning sold on 18th September 2021 in cooperation with Fritz Rudolf Künker the important library of Mark and Lottie Salton. The sale brought $381,520 hammer against an estimate of $176,280.

Kolbe & Fanning will auction the Salton library in cooperating with Künker. The extraordinary ensemble is especially rich in works dedicated to ancient coins and medals. Connoisseurs can also look forward to extensive holdings of old European auction catalogues.

Kolbe & Fanning is selling part two of the P. Scott Rubin library, which includes 923 lots featuring auction catalogues, books, periodicals, and archival and ephemeral items. With estimates ranging from $10 to $750 the auction will be held as a traditional mail-bid sale.

In their 459-lot sale Kolbe & Fanning will be offering material from the library of Richard Margolis, along with selections from Roger Persichilli, John Dannreuther, and the TAB Libraries.
