Stack’s Bowers and Ponterio, HK-Hong Kong

The Hong Kong October auction of Stack’s Bowers and Ponterio contained over 4,600 lots. Chinese patterns were the top performers. Leading the way was a “long-whisker” pattern dollar from China’s final emperor that sold for $456,000.

Stephen Album Rare Coins, USA-Santa Rosa (CA)

The Stephen Album Rare Coins Auction 38 in September 2020 set a new record for the firm with a total hammer price of $2.10 million and a sell-through rate of 94.5% for the floor sessions. The rarities, especially from the sections China and World, exceeded all expectations.

Heritage Auctions, US-Dallas

Heritage Auctions offer the legendary Simpson Collection of rare and important US coins. The first portion with 349 chosen items was sold on September 17th. A 1894-S Barber Dime realized $1.5 million.

Agora Numismatiek

Agora Numismatiek published their Fall fixed-price list. The list includes 40 high grade, rare and historically interesting ancient Greek, and Roman coins. Many coins are unpublished with good pedigrees.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries, USA-Las Vegas, NV.

The Stacks Bowers’ August 2020 Auction realized a total of $21,739,851 across all categories. While the majority of this sum was realized for US Coins, there were also multiple highlights and impressive collections from the fields of ancient and world coinage.

Roma Numismatics' E-Sale 75 was a big success. 1,651 lots went under the hammer, resulting in total sales of £347,929 (excluding buyers’ premiums) being achieved on behalf of the consignors. Read and see some of the most notable results.
