Ilya Prokopov is a Bulgarian numismatist and probably the best expert in the field of Bulgarian counterfeits. He was Director of the National History Museum of Bulgaria and was as such responsible for its move and its new permanent exhibition.

Matthias Ohm is a trained historian and art historian. At the State Museum Württemberg, Stuttgart, his areas of responsibility since 2007 include weapons, militaria and regional studies, and the Coin Cabinet with its nearly 180,000 objects.

Ruprecht Ziegler is an Austrian ancient historian and numismatist. His research focuses on numismatics, epigraphy, economic and religious history of the Eastern Roman provinces, primarily of Cilicia – and, as of late, also local history of the ‘long nineteenth century’.
