Numismatics

Wilhelm Müseler is an ancient historian and numismatist. Until September 2016, he was head of the department of ancient coins at Frankfurt-based auction house Dr. Busso Peus Nachf.

Bernhard Woytek is a Vienna-based ancient historian and numismatist. In Vienna he serves as head of the “Documenta Antiqua” Department of the Institute for the Cultural History of Antiquity at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Vivek Gupta is Fellow / Assistant Curator at the American Numismatic Society. He is an expert on Islamic and South Asian coinage and art history.

Mariana Minkova is an archaeologist, numismatist and expert of cultural values. As Chief Curator at the Stara Zagora Regional Museum of History, Bulgaria, she is responsible for the numismatic department.

Ivar Leimus is not only an internationally reknown expert in numismatics of the Baltic region. He is also one of the few numismatists, who can easily communicate in several languages.

Mariana A. Slavova is an ancient historian and numismatist. She is keeper at the Regional History Museum in Haskovo, Bulgaria. Her research interests focus on coin circulation and coinage in the middle reaches of the river Maritsa, in ancient Thrace, from the 6th to the 1st century BC.

Radoslav S. Gushterakliev is a numismatist, archaeologist and historian, focusing on antiquity. He is head of the archaeological and numismatic department at the Regional History Museum in Lovech, Bulgaria.

With her profound knowledge of the Russian language, Ulrike Peter stands for the numismatic exchange between east and west. Since 1992 she has been Research Associate at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

Sam Spiegel is a coin dealer and works as Director of International Numismatics at Heritage Auctions, Dallas.

Hubert Emmerig is Associate Professor of Numismatics and Monetary History, focusing on medieval and modern times, at the Institute for Numismatics and Monetary History at Vienna University as well as lecturer of Numismatics at LMU Munich.
