Numismatics

Stefan Krmnicek is Junior Professor for Ancient Numismatics, Director of the Numismatic Department at the Institute of Classical Archaeology, and Curator of Coins and Medals at the Museum of the University of Tübingen. His research combines archaeology and numismatics.

Peter Karl Tompa is an attorney practicing in Washington, D.C., and a registered lobbyist for IAPN and PNG.

Günther Emerich Thüry is an archaeologist, archaeobiologist and numismatist. As university lecturer, he teaches ancient cultural history and Roman numismatics in Salzburg, following an interdisciplinary approach.

Tom Hockenhull (* 1984) is curator responsible for the medal collection, post 1700 coins and paper money, badges, tokens and other financial instruments at the British Museum.

Mikhail Abramzon is a numismatist and archaeologist. At Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University, he is Director of the Research Institute for Historical Anthropology and Philology. His research focuses particularly on coinages of the Bosporan Kingdom.

Vesta Sarkhosh Curtis is an archaeologist and numismatist. She is Curator of Middle Eastern Coins at the British Museum, London and Joint Director of the International Parthian Coin Project.

Philip Attwood is an art historian and numismatist. He was Keeper of Coins and Medals at the British Museum, London, from 2010 to 2020. His work focuses particularly on Italian sixteenth century and British nineteenth century medals as well as badges.

Ursula Kampmann knows all areas of numismatics: She worked in the coin trade and curated exhibitions for museums and mints. Since 1996, she concentrates on the journalistic side of numismatics, covering the entire range from ancient times up to the present.

Björn Schöpe studied Classics and has been working with Ursula Kampmann since 2011. CoinsWeekly is only one of his areas of responsibility. He is also primarily concerned with graphic tasks and the IT structure.

Kurt Wyprächtiger has been collecting coins for nearly half a century. He is Curator of Numismatics at the Museum zu Allerheiligen and responsible for the library of the Pressedienst Kampmann. In his capacity as photographer, he is known to CoinsWeekly readers by his initials KW.
