One highlight at Stack’s Bowers Galleries NYINC sale was a stunning 1692 5 Guineas from Great Britain graded NGC MS-62 that realized $312,000. Specialized collections like the Kyle Ponterio Collection of Countermarked issues were also in the center of attention.

Heritage Auctions, USA-Orlando, FL/ New York, NY

Heritage’s World & Ancient Coins January 2020 sales have surpassed $17m with a world auction record for a “Una and the Lion” selling for $690,000. The U.S. coins sales were led by a $2,160,000 bid for a 1927-D Double Eagle, the rarest regular-issue of a 20th century American coin.
