In the realm of Asian pedigrees, few rival the Dr. Norman Jacobs unequaled collection of Asian coins. Heritage HKINF auction features among other highlights the Hsüan-t’ung Yunan “Spring” Dollar from this collection, considered to be one of China’s rarest coins.

After 40 years as a full-time dealer and nearly two decades in this position, Currency Auctions Director Allen Mincho retired from Heritage Auctions. The currency expert was honoured with the title of Director Emeritus.

Heritage’s Long Beach Expo auctions featuring U.S. Coins achieved stunning $ 13 million. The hammer price of the Harvey B. Jacobson Collection of Liberty Eagles summed up to $3,220,896 with the 1875 Liberty Eagle realizing $360,000.

Heritage’s World & Ancient Coins January 2020 sales have surpassed $17m with a world auction record for a “Una and the Lion” selling for $690,000. The U.S. coins sales were led by a $2,160,000 bid for a 1927-D Double Eagle, the rarest regular-issue of a 20th century American coin.
