On October 25, 2017, Leu Numismatik conducted Auction No. 1. The large number of active bidders led to numerous record results. Adding up to more than 1 million CHF, the total hammer price exceeded expectations.

Swiss auction house Leu Numismatik will hold their first first floor auction on 25 October 2017. On offer are high quality coins from the ancient world featuring among others the Yves Gunzenreiner Collection of coins from the Roman Empire.

Numismatica Ars Classica autumn auction is taking place on 24th October 2017 at the Hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich. Approximately 400 lots will be auctioned in two sessions with a combined total estimate of CHF 3’517’600.

Held from October 23-26, 2017, the five Sincona auctions obtained the impressive total result of more than 9 million Swiss francs. A large number of top-sellers came from the departments of Russian coins and of World Coins in Gold and Silver.

In their autumn auctions on October 23-26, 2017 Sincona AG will offer five catalogues. The focus of the material ranges from Antiquitiy to Russia, Gold, Switzerland and, in particular, comprises also part 1 of the Ruedi Kunzmann Collection.

Solidus Premium Auction 20 closing on October 21, 2017 features 353 lots, the spectrum ranges from antiquity to modern times. This time the focus is an unusual, at least for Solidus: coins from the Middle Ages. But ancient coins are also very strong.

Mowbray Collectables, New Zealand’s premier numismatic and philatelic auction house, holds its 18th International Numismatic auction with 552 lots on 13 October 2017. New Zealand material is a Mowbray speciality but there is much more.

On October 12 to 13, 2017, Gorny & Mosch conducted its 250th auction. The prices were impressive. Rare talers and ducats obtained maximum prices. Hammering at 65,000 euros, a 1 1/2 taler klippe of Transylvanian Prince Stephen Bocskai turned out to be the surprise of the auction, having been estimated at 4,000 euros.

October 11-13, 2017, Gorny & Mosch will conduct their Fall Auctions, offering ancient to world coins and medals. The B-Auction featuring the less expensive material as well as the multiple lots will take place as an e-auction on October 15, 2017.

The William Burd Library will be offered in several upcoming Kolbe & Fanning sales. Sale 147, scheduled for October 7, will include hundreds of lots from the Burd Library, while the highlights will form the foundation of the 2018 New York Book Auction.
