On October 25, 2017, Leu Numismatik conducted Auction No. 1. The large number of active bidders led to numerous record results. Adding up to more than 1 million CHF, the total hammer price exceeded expectations.

Gorny & Mosch, D-Munich

On October 12 to 13, 2017, Gorny & Mosch conducted its 250th auction. The prices were impressive. Rare talers and ducats obtained maximum prices. Hammering at 65,000 euros, a 1 1/2 taler klippe of Transylvanian Prince Stephen Bocskai turned out to be the surprise of the auction, having been estimated at 4,000 euros.

October 11-13, 2017, Gorny & Mosch will conduct their Fall Auctions, offering ancient to world coins and medals. The B-Auction featuring the less expensive material as well as the multiple lots will take place as an e-auction on October 15, 2017.

The William Burd Library will be offered in several upcoming Kolbe & Fanning sales. Sale 147, scheduled for October 7, will include hundreds of lots from the Burd Library, while the highlights will form the foundation of the 2018 New York Book Auction.
