Five Auctions in Four Days – Autumn auction at Sincona AG

For the first time in the history since the start of Sincona AG in 2011, there will be five catalogues presented in the autumn auction (Auctions 41-45). This way the firm originating from UBS AG (originally Swiss Bank Corp.) can present the separate collection areas more accurately.

Auction 41 – Ancient coins

After the successful auction of an important collection of Byzantine coins in the last May (catalogues are still available) we will present a catalogue of ancient coins. The auction 41 contains more than 250 lots, of which about 200 pieces are in gold. Since they were legal tender, they are free of VAT in Switzerland. The following are some exciting examples from the auction 41:

Auction 42 – Russia

The auction 42 will continue the tradition of Russian autumn auctions. The famous “Sincona Collection” is a history, but this year Russian coins are featured as well in more than 400 lots, naturally in a separate catalogue that can be added to the series of Sincona-Russia-Catalogues.

Auction 43 – Coins and medals, Gold Auction, Swiss coins

Auction 43 follows with coins and medals. Divided into 4 large sections Sincona AG presents the world of numismatics. First come silver coins and medals followed by world gold coins. Of course there are focal points such as the gold coins of Spain and Malta, a collection of Papal medals, as well as an important collection of silver coins and medals of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria, mainly from Bohemian and Hungarian mints. At the end comes the already well known Sincona – Gold Auction and on the following morning, concluding the catalogue 43, are interesting Swiss coins.

Auktion 44 – Swiss Coins, Collection Ruedi Kunzmann, part 1

On the same day the auction continues with Switzerland. Everyone knows Ruedi Kunzmann – and thus we do not need to spend time introducing his collection that is presented in catalogue 44: Swiss Coins, Collection Ruedi Kunzmann, part 1. One will find rarities and magnificent pieces in 1111 lots  that collectors now have the chance to buy in Zurich. The theme “minor coins” is written here in capital letters. Also of notice are the many imitations of Swiss coins from Upper Italy. And Dr. Kunzmann has the courage to include contemporary forgeries in this catalogue as a part of numismatic history. But be aware that the coins sold this October will not reappear again for a long time and the 2nd part, also in October 2018, will also contain many rarities and exciting objects.

Auction 45 – Banknotes, historical bonds and shares

The closing of the Autumn Auction on Thursday is almost a tradition meaning that Sincona always has innovative ideas. This time along with banknotes we offer historical bonds and shares in cooperation with the firm HIPEWA. You will be fascinated by the catalogue 45. Along with banknotes are included important examples of Belgium, China, Japan and Russia, and naturally diverse unknown rarities from Switzerland. There is a section of general monetary history and as mentioned a group of 200 historical bonds. Let yourself be fascinated by the multitude of stocks and bonds and the history behind them.
