At CNG’s Triton XXVI during NYINC 2023 a unique 10-aurei gold medallion of Roman Emperor Diocletian was sold for $2.327 million – the record for the highest price paid for a Roman Imperial coin so far.

Queen Anne 5 Guineas are not so rare, but they are extremely rare in mint state. That was the reason why a specimen on sale during Heritage’s NYINC auction was sold for $264,000. Two other pieces achieved the same sum.
