Hungarian commemorative coin honours composer Béni Egressy
Marking the 200th anniversary of Béni Egressy’s birthday, the National Bank of Hungary is issuing a commemorative coin in silver and non-ferrous metal. The front of the coin shows the notes to the first line of the Szózat, “Hazádnak rendületlenül”, while the back bears a portrait of Egressy.
Taya Pobjoy presents coin to Pope Francis
On 26th March Taya Pobjoy, Managing Director of Pobjoy Mint, visited the Vatican City and presented a coin to His Holiness Pope Francis celebrating his accession. The coin was issued by the Central Bank of the Seychelles and produced by Pobjoy Mint.

On June 10 and 11, 2014 London-based auction house Morton & Eden offered coins and medals in a general sale. The sale totalled £1,056,838 (including 20% BP) and 93% of the lots were sold by value. The top lot was a Naxos tetradrachm, sold for £74,400.

A surprise package of choice Russian material has been discovered amongst a very large group of mostly worn common coins sent to Morton & Eden for valuation. PCGS graded 39 of the coins with MS64 and higher. The items will be auctioned on June 10, 2014.
