The Mint Directors Conference planned for 2021 has been postponed to 2022 according to an official notification of the MDC. The event was to be held in South Africa but may then take place in Canada.
At the last MDC Internal Affairs meeting on 23 February 2021 Mrs Honey Mamabolo, Managing Director of the South African Mint, proposed various options of how to go on with the MDC event facing the Covid-19 restrictions. MDC Directors will announce the final decision on the details later in April. So far it appears certain that the Conference will be held in 2022 but location could change from South Africa to Canada.
