The Whitman Coin & Collectibles Expo has been canceled. Therefore Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ decided to relocate their March 2020 Baltimore Auctions to California.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries flagship store in New York is moving to a new, larger location at 470 Park Avenue in the spring of 2020. In the meantime, Stack’s Bowers can be found at a temporary location.

During the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Spring Expo in Baltimore, Stack’s Bowers will present part VI and VII of the D. Brent Pogue Collection. Collectors will find the marvellous paper money collection and American coins of exceptional quality.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries March 2020 Baltimore Auction will feature legendary 1884 and 1885 Trade Dollars from the E. Horatio Morgan Collection.

One highlight at Stack’s Bowers Galleries NYINC sale was a stunning 1692 5 Guineas from Great Britain graded NGC MS-62 that realized $312,000. Specialized collections like the Kyle Ponterio Collection of Countermarked issues were also in the center of attention.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries upcoming NYINC sale is full of highlights like a beautifully-minted and ultra-rare 1911 Chinese Silver Long-Whisker Dragon Dollar, and the most extensive group of Spanish Colonial-Era Chilean 8 Reales in decades.

In their Baltimore auction, Stack’s Bowers Galleries offered the Collection of Numismatist John W. Adams, featuring extraordinary early American medals like the rare 1792 Diplomatic Medal.

Henrik Holt Christensen has joined Stack’s Bowers Galleries as Consignment Director of Europe. Mr. Christensen will focus on expanding the firm’s European network and growing its World Paper Money department.
