In the Stack’s Bowers 2023 Spring Expo Auction a 1792 US cent in copper was the top performer selling for $576,000. The sale realized a total of over $28.5 million. A special session was dedicated to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency coins.

The Anthony J. Taraszka Collection of Polish coins was a highlight in the Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ sale at NYINC 2023. The auction saw strong prices across the numismatic spectrum, realizing an impressive $16,613,761.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries are proud to be the oldest US auction house for outstanding coins. Its New York address was long known as “The Numismatic Club House on 57th Street”. Ursula Kampmann visited the new club house on Park Avenue.

Kelvin Cheung, one of the foremost experts in world paper money and Asian coins, will join Stack’s Bowers’ leading team of numismatic specialists beginning in February 2023.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries will be offering various strong collections at the January 2023 NYINC auction. Among them the Anthony J. Taraszka Collection with Polish rarities and the Sigma Collection of Russian coins.

Stack’s Bowers sold in its Winter 2022 Showcase Auction over $23 million in US coins and currency. The focus was on Americana, U.S. colonial and federal coinage, and physical Bitcoins and Cryptocurrency featuring pieces from the Sydney F. Martin Collection.

T. Boone Pickens was an influential businessman and financier who also collected coins. His collection spans a wide range with a focus on Liberty Head gold and modern U.S. commemorative issues and will be sold by Stack’s Bowers in December 2022.
