The Singapore International Coin Fair was to take place on 3 April 2020. Just like the Hong Kong Coin show, the Singapore event has been rescheduled due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

Everybody’s talking about the coronavirus. Newly infected people are counted on a daily basis. However, we hardly ever talk about the consequences that we will have to face because of this media-fuelled panic. The coin trade might have to adapt to some changes, too.

TEFAF – The European Fine Art Fair, will take place from 7 to 15 March 2020 in Maastricht. It is one of the world’s leading art fairs with a focus on ancient objects.

Many events in South-East Asia are considered too risky due to the outbreak of coronavirus disease. This afflicts the world of numismatics, too. The 8th Hong Kong Coin Show, originally planned to take place from 27th to 29th March 2020, is now postponed.

The 49th World Money Fair took place in Berlin from 31 January to 2 February 2020. Japan was the guest of honour. Here you find photographic impressions of the fair and the events.

In 2020, the New York International Numismatic Convention was once again the meeting place for all those dealing with classical numismatics. Between auctions and meetings, the event also provided the opportunity to exchange ideas. And the mood was upbeat as always.

The Beijing International Coin Expo, held this year from November 15-17, isn’t a regular coin show. It represents an annual opportunity for the Chinese numismatic world to promote its products and to measure its progress. Peter Anthony attended and shared his impressions.
