CNG was alerted that six coins offered in their upcoming Keystone auction 3 seem to be property of Yale University. CNG reached an agreement with the institution and decided to postpone the sale until matters will be sorted out. Michael Gasvoda explains the details.

THE AUCTION WAS POSTPONED – READ THE DETAILS BELOW. In their upcoming auction CNG offers 247 lots from the Nor’eastern Collection formed in the 1950s and 1960s. Many of the Roman and British silver coins show a deep cabinet tone due to the storage in old-style indidual coin trays. These coins start at 5$!

CNG’s Triton XXIV sale offered a choice selection of the most famous ancient coins like a Pantikapaion stater and an EID MAR denarius. However, the most expensive coin was another one.

Due to the Covid pandemic the coin market changed in some ways and prices have raised in many sections. Michael Gasvoda from CNG takes a closer look and shares his view on the market situation and how it may develop.

CNG’s Electronic Auction 485 features 1058 lots. Collectors will find ancient and world coins from the Wayne G. Damron Collection and Roman Republican coins from the Crescent collections, as well as British coins of Queen Elizabeth I from the J. Capozzolo Collection.

The upcoming Electronic Auction 484 featuring over 1,200 coins will be sold as the fifth part of Triton sale XXIV. Of special note are collections of coins from Roman Egypt, rare and important Umayyad Spanish solidi and German and Habsburg talers.

CNG’s Triton XXIV will be held on 19 and 20 January 2021 as a live online sale. One of the pieces offered in this auction is an extremely rare tetradrachm of Pixodarus, who almost became the father-in-law of Alexander the Great. We tell his story.

The upcoming Triton XXIV features over 1,400 highly important coins. Many of these come from well-known collections and some are published. The presale estimate is $6.16 million.

CNG’s Electronic Auction 482 features 893 lots. Collectors will find a number of quality ancient, world and British Coins as well as an impressive selection of Anglo-Saxon and Norman issues from the Allen Williams Collection.
