The Polish sculptor Hanna Antonina Jalonek received the 2022 J. Sanford Saltus Award. This award is given by the American Numismatic Society for Signal Achievement in the Art of the Medal.

Jan Olav Wilborn Aamlid was awarded the Schive Medal for his book on Siam specimen banknotes. The medal is a reward medal for non-academic numismatists by the Norwegian Numismatic Association.

The Royal Canadian Mint and Central Bank of Barbados win the International Association Of Currency Affairs’ 2022 Excellence in Currency Award in the category “Best New Commemorative or Test Circulating Coin” with their $1 Glow-in-the-Dark Flying Fish.

David Hendin is awarded the 2022 Burnett Anderson Award for Excellence in Numismatic Writing. Hendin is a renowned expert of weights and currency of the ancient Levant and author of 18 books, including his “Guide to Biblical Coins”.

The American Numismatic Association will recognize numismatic author Q. David Bowers and the Stack family for their successes in the numismatic community with its Philanthropy Award. The awards will be presented at the Chicago World’s Fair of Money in August.
