The Mint Directors Conference in South Africa, scheduled for April 2020, is postponed. The reason is the coronavirus spreading according to a statement of the organisers. Increasing concerns for global travel would probably result in reduced attendance. The official announcement continues: “We also need to take into account that many companies are imposing travel bans which would result in reduced attendance, at a critical time when we need optimum representation from the minting community in order to discuss, debate and plan for the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
The organisers therefore decided to postpone the conference to 17-20 November 2020.
All previous arrangements for the programme, social events and venue remain exactly the same and can be found on the MDC website.
