The Stack’s Bowers and Ponterio August Hong Kong Auction realized $4.08 million. With $360,000 far and away the highest price. This hammer price belongs to a Chinese gold coin from 1992.

Cayón Subastas hold a sale in Madrid on July 3, 2018. About 1,000 lots were distributed in four parts. Almost 250 lots were made up by a very important collection of Iberian denarii. Top lot was an extremely rare Gerona 1809 Spanish silver crown which realised 32,400 euros.

Cayón Subastas will hold another auction “out of the order” in Madrid, Spain, on 3 July 2018. Four collections will be on offer with Iberian denarii, rare pesetas like a 5 pesetas 1809 of which only three specimens are known, and a gold collection.

The pre-sale estimate of the four summer auctions rose from 5.7 million euros to a total price realized at 8.3 million euros. The splendid specialized collections in particular allured more than 2,000 national and international bidders, 300 of which were present at the auction.
