Heritage Auctions’ ANA World’s Fair of Money Auction did not take place in Chicago but at the company’s premises. The result is more than impressive: the sale achieved a total result of over $68 million and US coins saw a perfect sell-through rate of 100%, including a 1861 Paquet Double Eagle sold for $7.2 million.

Kolbe & Fanning will auction the Salton library in cooperating with Künker. The extraordinary ensemble is especially rich in works dedicated to ancient coins and medals. Connoisseurs can also look forward to extensive holdings of old European auction catalogues.

With a total of $50m, the ANA sale of Stack’s Bowers Galleries realised the highest result in the company’s history. One piece contributed significantly to this success: a 1804 dollar from the Muscat, Watters, Brand, Childs and Pogue Collections.

Stephen Album Rare Coins held its Internet Auction 11 on 16th August 2021. The auction vastly exceeded all expectations, with a total hammer price of $120,588 on a middle estimate of $43,500. Many items went for multiples of their estimates.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries sold the finest 1804 Draped Bust Silver Dollar for $7.68 Million. The coin is thus currently the fifth most expensive United States coin.

“The Fascination of Minted Gold” is the name Künker gave to the Hermann Schwarz Collection, which contains about 1,500 gold coins. And it is just one of many collections offered in Künker’s Fall Auction Sales: the material covers the entire spectrum from antiquity to Brandenburg-Prussia and Brunswick to modern times.

CNG’s fall sale features 1,434 lots from ancient Greeks to United States coins and medals including many rare and sought-after items. The presale estimate is just over $2 million.

The American Numismatic Society sells the Robert W. Bartlett Collection of ancient Greek and Roman coins in CNG’s Keystone Auction 4. The proceeds will support the ANS.
