Over the course of the previous decades, Preussag AG has assembled the largest collection of löser and mining coins in history. This collection will now be auctioned off by London Coin Galleries, in collaboration with Künker, in London. The range of pieces on offer comprises 217 löser and 327 mining coins.

6.4 million pounds sterling, nearly 9 million euros, was the overall hammer price of 217 löser and 327 mining coins of the Preussag Collection, auctioned off by London Coin Galleries in collaboration with Künker. The most expensive coin of this auction, a gold jakobslöser, achieved an incredible 650,000 pounds, equivalent to 911,500 euros.

Sweden launched new banknotes

Sweden has launched new banknotes. It is the first step in the major overhaul of the country’s banknotes and coins. Since 1 October 2015, it is possible to pay with the new 20-, 50- 200- and 1,000-krona banknotes.
