For the first time in 2021 the company H2O GmbH from Steinen, Germany is offering free webinars for all interested parties. Each webinar focuses on a specific topic of wastewater management. The upcoming two webinars will take up the topics “Operating Costs” and “COD Reduction”.
10 March 2021: “Reducing Operating Costs”
The first webinar will be held (in English) on Wednesday, March 10th, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on “Reducing operating costs in a crisis: How sustainable water management minimises ongoing costs”. Marius Straub, sales engineer at H2O GmbH and an expert in the field of wastewater management for 8 years, will explain how to realise enormous savings with effective wastewater treatment using real calculation examples. “The right wastewater treatment system is not only sustainable, but also economical,” Straub knows. The real case calculation examples are based on the values of the VACUDEST vacuum distillation plant. It turns 100 percent wastewater into up to 99 percent purified distillate that can be reused – and only about 1 percent of residue. That means the disposal cost of the wastewater is drastically reduced. Low operating costs and the elimination of freshwater treatment play their part in identifying huge potential savings. The webinar will use real case examples to show how the investment in this technology often pays for itself in less than two years.
21 April 2021: “Reducing COD”
The second seminar will be held (in English) on Wednesday, April 21st from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the topic “Effectively reducing COD: An overview of classical solutions and H2O innovations”. COD is a cumulative parameter used to quantify the load of organic substances in wastewater. Strict monitoring values require an effective COD reduction. In the webinar, Uwe Hanschke, head of H2O GmbH’s Application Centre for Zero Liquid Discharge Production with 30 years of experience in the application area of wastewater technology, will compare various methods for safely eliminating COD in industrial wastewater. An eye will also be kept on the economic efficiency and sustainability of the treatment.
Please note that the number of participants is limited. You can register directly with the company using the contact form on the homepage.
In 2013 we visited H2O in Steinen where they showed us how mints can achieve a zero liquid discharge production.
