The largest collectors’ fair in Central and Eastern Europe will host more than 230 exhibitors from dozens of countries this year. The legendary football player Antonín Panenka will be there and the most expensive Czech circulating coin, a ten-crown with a different mintage from 1993 worth EUR 24,000, will be on display. The fair will take place from 9th to 10th September 2022 at the PVA Expo Prague exhibition center.

The Sberatel Fair is celebrating 25 years this year and to mark the anniversary, it has prepared a number of collector’s attractions for visitors, of whom 10,000 head to Prague every year. Investment collector coins and medals will be brought to Prague by Emporium Hamburg, Künker Auction House, Rauch Vienna, Heritage Auctions and others. The Czech Mint will not be missing, but also the mint from Gdansk. Numismatics now makes up almost half of the fair and is still growing.

Not only the Czech Post will offer its complete issue program, but also postal administrations from Slovakia, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Kyrgyzstan, Albania and the United Nations Post Office. Prestigious philately will be offered by the auction companies Rapp and Feldman from Switzerland or Viennafil from Austria.

“On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of our fair we have prepared, for example, a set of our own stamps under the title “Treasures at the Sberatel Fair” and a commemorative silver medal with a portrait of the “Emperor of Collectors” Rudolf II.,” Jindřich Jirásek, director of the fair, invites visitors and adds: “The fair is not just for collectors, but for everyone who is looking for a way to value their money and protect it from inflation by buying collectibles. At the Sberatel Fair you will find the largest selection from dealers from all over the world.”

The Minerals Gemstone Fair will also be held in the same hall as the Sberatel Fair, and on Saturday, September 10, vinyl record collectors will gather in the adjacent hall for the Vinyl & Stereo Expo and Rock & Metal Market events. The Trading Expo & Alternative Investments conference is back live again. It will feature talks on investing in coins, autographs, vintage cars, real estate, precious metals and stamps.

Traders can visit the expo on Thursday, September 8 at 4:00 p.m. by purchasing a special traders ticket.

The Sberatel Fair is held 3 times a year, in autumn at the PVA Expo in Prague, in spring and before Christmas at the Olympik Hotel Prague. It is the largest international meeting of collectors of stamps, coins, medals, postcards, minerals, precious stones and other collecting material in Europe. Every year, dozens of exhibitors and thousands of visitors from all over the world attend the fairs.
