The 14-day quarantine of foreign tourists arriving in Hong Kong will remain in place until 18 September. Since this makes joining the HKCS extremely difficult for overseas exhibitors, the event was postponed to 2021.

Many events in South-East Asia are considered too risky due to the outbreak of coronavirus disease. This afflicts the world of numismatics, too. The 8th Hong Kong Coin Show, originally planned to take place from 27th to 29th March 2020, is now postponed.

Applications for the 9th semi-annual Hong Kong International Numismatic Fair (December 6 to 8, 2019) are now open. The exhibition tables for dealers and other exhibitors are available on a first come, first served basis.

The biannual Hong Kong Coin Show is taking place for the 7th time in August and will feature not only buying and selling, but also seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and a guided tour. Visitors and exhibitors are invited to register for an early bird fee of HKD300.

There is only a time span of one week and a four-hour flight that separates them: following the Singapore International Coin Fair, the Hong Kong Coin Show took place on the last weekend of March. Ursula Kampmann also visited the coin convention in Hong Kong.
