Künker eLive Auction 73

Künker presents their eLive Auction 73 with nearly 2,400 lots of coins and medals from ancient to modern times over 4 auction days. The sale will be running from October 4-7, 2022.

 

The auction start with coins from the ancient world, which include a small series of Republic denarii, among them a coinage of L. Plautius Plancus with the Aurora depiction after the famous Nicomachus painting (Crawf. 453/1) (lot number 7020). In addition, the sale offers a small series of Byzantine gold coins in pleasant qualities, including a solidus of Constans II and Constantinus IV, (lot number 7087) and a hyperpyron (scyphate) of John II (lot number 7093).

The auction includes a small series with partly very rare coins of the USA among others 2 1/2 Dollars 1838 C (Charlotte) and 5 Dollars 1909 O (New Orleans). Afterwards a large collection of Brunswick-Luneburg coins with many Wildemann talers follows as well as an interesting collection of Hessian coins.

At the end the auction closes with an old collection of Saxon coins, including many beautiful thalers as well as a larger lot of silver coins from the Empire and the Weimar Republic.
