Cayón’s December E-Auction
Cayón’s E-auction 72 features more than 700 lots and will be closing on Wednesday, 23 December 2020 at 5 pm (Madrid, Spain).
The sale starts with a choice of ancient Greek coins and Roman aurei and comprises a remarkable range of mainly Spanish coins with almost 100 gold 8 escudos, and 130 silver crown 8 reales, including some pillars. Some coins are mint state with full original luster.
Some of the most prominent coins are a beautiful medieval Pedro I gold dobla, a Catholic Kings silver, a remarkable group of silver 8 reales from Sevilla (17th century), a rare 50 reales or cincuentín 1620 over 10 from Segovia, a Mexico 1733 pillar, a gorgeous 8 escudos 1750 Mexico, a couple of gold 8 escudos from Madrid by Carlos III, two attractive coins from Cadiz by Fernando VII, a terrific silver serie from Guatemala by Fernando VII, and three brilliant uncirculated silver crowns from Madrid by Fernando VII. in addition to a bunch of extraordinary silver crowns from Mexico and Lima.
The last part is dedicated to Isabel II and the peseta system with a gold series of extremely fine and uncirculated coins, a nice and rare 20 céntimos 1870, and a gorgeous group of Alfonso XIII silver crowns. Don’t miss the many videos of these highlight lots!
