Winner of First Shekel Prize Announced
The American Israel Numismatic Association has awarded its first Shekel Prize. Designed by medallic artist Victor Huster, it recognizes Yoav Farhi’s book on the numismatic finds at Khirbet Qeiyafa in Israel.

On September 22, 2017 the prize giving ceremony of the 11th International Commemorative Coins Contest “Coin Constellation-2017” took place. 40 participants from 27 countries of the world submitted 268 coins in eight categories, complemented by the “People’s Choice Award”.

Krugerrand Typeface Wins Loerie Award
The South Africa Mint has won a craft award by the prestigious Loerie Awards for creativity in Africa and the Middle East. The award recognizes particularly the communication of the Krugerrand brand through a typeface designed by graphic artist Jan Erasmus.
