The Künker Spring Auction Sales took place in the middle of rise of the worldwide corona crisis. The concern was enormous: how would the collectors react? In brief: the mood was positive and participation was high overall. For the more than 6,500 lots, Künker realized over 10 million euros surpassing the estimate for the sales that had been set at around 6.7 million euros.

Although the Central States Numismatic Society Convention was canceled, the Heritage auction will still take place, but was moved to the HA headquarter in Dallas, Texas. An 1858 proof Liberty Eagle gold coin will be at auction for the first time in 36 years.

Although moved to Santa Ana the “Baltimore auctions” of Stack’s Bowers Galleries were record-setting: in total, the Brent Pogue Collection realized $131,298,560 after Part VI and VII, consisting of masterpieces of US coins and paper money, was now sold.
