Just before 3pm on 3 May 2019, a man walked into Hallenbeck Coin Gallery. He brandished a pistol and forced the dealership employees to fill his bag with US gold and gold bullion coins. He took the bag and fled on foot. Although a large police force, complete with tracker dogs, has been deployed in the immediate area around the dealership, there is still no trace of the robber.
Fortunately none of the Hallenbeck Coin Gallery staff has been injured.
Hallenbeck Coin Gallery is a family-run coin dealership in Colorado Springs, which is located an approx. ten-minute walk from the American Numismatic Association headquarters.
