September 13, 2012 – To celebrate Mark Blackburn’s many contributions to numismatics the Fitzwilliam Museum is launching a fund in his memory. The purpose of the fund will be to promote research on coins, monetary history and the archaeology of Western Medieval Europe and to establish a biennial Mark Blackburn Lecture. The Fitzwilliam invites his friends, colleagues and all who admired Mark’s achievements to consider contributing.
