The Hong Kong sale of Stack’s Bowers Galleries in December 2021 realized more than $10 million in total sales. Leading the way was a Chinese Silver Tael Pattern Restrike that sold for $1.35 million.

The November 2021 Showcase Auction of Stack’s Bowers featured U.S. coins, currency, and Americana. The sale was marked by several significant collections, notably the Aberg, Birdwatcher, and Fricke cabinets and saw strong bidding.

In their huge November 2021 Auction Stack’s Bowers present several thousand selected coins with a main focus on U.S. coins and currency. A highlight will be the first physical cryptocurrency offered at a major live auction.

Stack’s Bowers and Ponterio will offer two rarities from 1908 in their Hong Kong Collectors Choice Online Auction from 1 to 3 December 2021: a stunning Empire Dollar, for the first time on the market since 1972, and an outstanding Provincial Dollar from Chihli.

Stack’s Bowers Hong Kong September auction reached the $30 million mark a second consecutive time. Among the six-figure results stood out a pair of Republic of China Year 10 (1921) “Pavilion” Dollars, and a popular Year 28 (1949) “Bamboo” Dollar in EF-45.

At NYINC 2021 Stack’s Bowers Galleries and Künker will offer the first portion of the Mark and Lottie Salton Collection, a vast collection of the utmost importance built up over a lifetime by the son of the famous German auctioneer Felix Schlessinger.

Ken Glickman, an avid collector and researcher of California Fractional Gold coins, recently discovered a new die variety of this field. The last new unlisted variety was discovered in 2016 and sold recently for a record price of $57,600.

With a total of $50m, the ANA sale of Stack’s Bowers Galleries realised the highest result in the company’s history. One piece contributed significantly to this success: a 1804 dollar from the Muscat, Watters, Brand, Childs and Pogue Collections.
