At the “High Security Printing” conference, two banknotes were awarded “Best Commemorative Banknote” for their technical sophistication. Giesecke+Devrient presented a world first in security technique.

Cash is popular in the Euro area, but not the design of the Euro banknotes. Thus the ECB plans to involve the public and come up with new designs by 2024. Additionally, they plan to enhance the security features of our cash even more.
