The first 2 euro commemorative coin is dedicated to Giotto, rated among the main Italian painters, he began a new style in the Italian visual art and became a model for the Renaissance artists. The obverse side of the coin shows to the left a detail of the bell tower of the Dome of Florence and to the right a portrait of Giotto.
The second 2 euro commemorative coin is dedicated to the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, in order to promote a new mentality and to encourage tourists’ respect for environment.
