September 2nd, 2010 – Two alert readers of CoinsWeekly knew, where the collection of the former Italian king Vittorio Emanuele III is stored. It is treasured in the Museo Nazionale Romano in the Massimo palace alle Terme. But just a few pieces are exhibited. Most are locked in the depot. Scholars have complained that it is practically impossible to view these coins and to use them for research.
