COVID-19

The auction house will take all appropriate precautions before, during and after the auction to ensure the health and safety of all participants. At the auction venue they will ensure that hand sanitiser is available for the use of all attendees, disposable FFP3/N99 facemasks are provided for any who wish to use one, there is adequate ventilation, and depending on the current situation they may request attendees to consent to a non-contact temperature scan on entry for the benefit and peace of mind of all present. Should it become necessary to hold the auction as a purely internet and telephone based event, Roma Numismatics will of course let you know. They do not presently anticipate having to postpone or cancel the auction.

High-resolution photos now available

However, for many people right now, travel is either not possible or less desirable. To assist you in making informed bidding decisions, Roma Numismatics have made available a Google-Drive folder containing high resolution images of our auction lots that allow for careful inspection of the coins’ surfaces.

Telephone and internet bidding

Telephone bidding: If you would like to make use of telephone bidding on the day of the auction, please contact roma Numismatics as soon as possible to make the necessary arrangements. They expect demand to be higher than usual, and will do their best to accommodate all requests, but your assistance in early registration will be greatly appreciated. To arrange telephone bidding click here.

Internet bidding: At the present time the auction house is expecting to operate both ROMA LIVE and Biddr.ch live internet bidding services. It is possible that circumstances may prevent Biddr.ch from operating a normal service on March 26-27, but in any case the ROMA LIVE bidding service will certainly be operational on the day. This service requires no additional registration for clients who already have an active account on our site. PLEASE CHECK well in advance of the sale day that you are able to login to your account, and that your credit limit is sufficient for your bidding needs. Credit limit increase requests may require Roma Numismatics to perform additional reference checks.
ROMA LIVE users will be able to access the live internet bidding service from 9.30am on the morning of the auction. The live bidding button will be available directly from the homepage. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR USING THIS SERVICE, OR THE BIDDR.CH SERVICE.
