March 17, 2016 – As part of a year-long 30th anniversary celebration, Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) has unveiled an impressive array of products and services to assist and benefit collectors and dealers. They include ending the annual $149 subscription fee to now make the popular www.PCGSCoinFacts.com website free to everyone; new developments for the PCGS Restoration Service; and offering “retro-looking” green insert labels on holders of coins submitted by PCGS Collectors Club members.

“PCGS has been serving the numismatic community for 30 years. This is our gift to you for all your support,” said PCGS President Don Willis.
PCGS CoinFacts is the internet’s most extensive resource for information and images about United States coins, from Colonial era to modern commemoratives. The continually updated site now lists over 37,000 different coins, nearly 300,000 images and nearly 3 million auction prices listed.
Effective February 3, 2016, which happens to be the exact 30th anniversary of PCGS’s launch in 1986, the entire website will be available free. PCGS will also launch a new Android mobile application which will join the existing Apple iOS app, allowing anyone to easily access and view PCGS CoinFacts on a mobile device.
Willis also announced there will be no increase in PCGS submission fees this year.
He briefly outlined a re-launch of the PCGS Restoration Service, including lower submission fees and additional service options. PCGS Restoration is designed to help collectors address environmental problems with their coins, and help safely restore and enhance a coin’s appearance.
Additionally, under the supervision of recently appointed PCGS Vice President Mark Stephenson, the PCGS Bulk Services Department will be streamlined and submission fees will be more consistent with the Vintage Services pricing structure.
Collectors will also have the opportunity to have their coins slabbed with a “retro” green label that mimics the label found in the popular “Old Green Holder” from the early years of PCGS. The label is available to collectors as of February 3, 2016 as part of the company’s 30th anniversary celebration.
Professional Coin Grading Service was founded in February 1986 by distinguished numismatic experts, and now has offices in California, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Paris.
