NGC International UK Ltd. announced that its London office is moving into a larger space comprising the entire second floor of its current building at 69 Southampton Row in Bloomsbury. The new space will open on 19th November 2021 and will enable NGC UK to hire more employees and process submissions more efficiently.

Since 2018, NGC UK has served collectors and dealers in the United Kingdom and abroad, accepting submissions for:

  • Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®), a leading third-party coin authentication, grading and encapsulation service
  • Numismatic Conservation Services™ (NCS®), a leading professional coin conservation service
  • Paper Money Guaranty™ (PMG®), a leading third-party paper money authentication, grading and encapsulation service
  • Certified Guaranty Company™ (CGC®), a leading third-party authentication, grading and encapsulation service for pop culture collectibles, including comic books
  • Classic Collectible Services™ (CCS®), a leading professional comic book pressing and restoration removal

NGC, NCS, PMG, CGC and CCS are part of the Certified Collectibles Group, one of the world’s preeminent providers of expert, impartial and tech-enabled services for collectibles.

Over the last three years, the authentication, grading and conservation services provided by the CCG companies have added transparency, confidence and liquidity to the UK collectibles markets, leading to higher prices realized. For example, an NGC-certified Edward VIII Gold 5 Sovereign realized 2.11 million EUR (about $2.45 million) in an October sale, a new record for a British coin at auction, while an NGC-certified Queen Elizabeth I rarity set the record for the highest price paid for an English coin at a Spink auction in September when it sold for £480,000 (about $650,000 USD), far above its pre-auction estimate of £10,000 to £15,000 (about $14,000 to $20,000 USD).

Record demand on top of record prices has resulted in an extraordinary increase in the number of submissions to NGC UK. The new, larger space will enable NGC UK to continue to grow its team and operations. Since the beginning of 2021, the CCG companies have hired more than 200 people globally, including several new additions to the London team.

“We are honored that our expert authentication, grading and conservation services have been so quickly embraced by collectors and dealers in the UK,” commented Steven R. Eichenbaum, CEO of CCG. “With this expansion, NGC UK will be able to provide more comprehensive and efficient services to our fast-growing British customer base.”

Submissions can be made by appointment to NGC UK’s office, through the mail to NGC UK’s office or to NGC UK representatives at coin, paper money and comic shows throughout the United Kingdom. NGC UK accepts submissions from paid Collector members and Authorized Dealers. A single membership entitles you to submit coins, paper money and comic books. To join, visit the website of NGC, PMG or CGC.
