September 22, 2011 – On the 12th of September 2011, the Royal Dutch Mint will be striking the third 5 and 10 Euro commemorative coins of 2011, which have been commissioned by the Ministry of Finance. The theme of these coins is the 50 year existence of the World Wide Fund for Nature. The international World Wide Fund for Nature was founded on the 11th of September 1961; the Dutch branch was founded 1 year later.

In addition to the circulation, the Royal Dutch Mint will also be releasing silver and a gold proof coins for collectors. Also a set with other coins will be available.
