August 16, 2018 – The Münzkabinett Winterthur (engl. Coin Cabinet of Winterthur) is domiciled in the Bührer Villa in the middle of a park. Starting June of 2018, the canton is renovating the Bührer Villa over the course of 15 months. During this time, the Münzkabinett will move to the former research library spaces at the museum building in Museumsstrasse 52.
Coin enthusiasts are likely to be able to visit the cabinet there from the end of September onwards.
As soon as renovations have been completed, the Münzkabinett will return to the Bühler Villa in the fall of 2019.
