March 2, 2017 – Harry Potter fans around the world were waiting with eager anticipation for the latest work of British novelist Joanne K. Rowling. “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is the title of the spin-off, whose film adaptation was nominated for two Academy Awards in 2017.
The magical world of witches and wizards once more frames the battle between good and evil spun around the eccentric magizoologist Newt Scamander and his suitcase filled with mysterious creatures. With the first, officially licensed commemorative coin “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” Coin Invest Trust dives into this world.

The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Elizabeth II of England as well as her name, the title of the issuing nation, and the nominal value.
The reverse depicts the emblem of the fictive “Magical Congress” including a thunderbird. Also, the inscription MAGICAL CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

The coin features the emblem of the fictive Magical Congress of the United States of America, founded in the year 1693. As the supreme authority it is in charge, among others, for granting the official permit to carry wands. Its heraldic animal is the captivating thunderbird, which represents one of the four houses of the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in North America.
