Leu Numismatik’s 3rd Web Auction
Leu Numismatik’s Web Auction 3 will be closing on 25 February 2018, at 1 pm CET. Up for auction is a selection of 1,300 lots from the ancient, medieval and modern world. While the focus is on Greek and Roman Provincial numismatics, there are also many interesting pieces representing the Roman Empire, Byzantium and the Middle Ages.
These are some of the auction’s highlights:
Lot 93.
Lot 93: Sicily. Selinos. Tetradrachm, circa 455-409 BC. The usual beginning die break on the obverse, otherwise, very fine. From a European collection, formed before 2005. Starting price: 750 CHF.
Lot 344.
Lot 344: Caria. Kaunos. Stater, circa 430-410 BC. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, extremely fine. Starting price: 750 CHF.
Lot 988.
Lot 988: Trajan Decius, 249-251. Aureus, Rome. Extremely fine. Starting price: 2,500 CHF.
Lot 1038.
Lot 1038: Probus, 276-282. Aureus, Cyzicus, ca. 281. Good very fine. Starting price: 2,000 CHF.
