Italy wins Coin of the Year Award 2017

January 26, 2017 – Italy’s coin ‘70 Years of Peace in Europe’ has won the last round of the Coin of the Year Award. In December a panel of judges had chosen the ten category winners out of all candidates. The Italian 10 euro silver coin was selected ‘Most artistic coin’. Now the jury elected in a second round the Coin of the Year 2017 out of these 10 first-round winners.

Italy’s 10 euro silver coin ’70 Years of Peace in Europe’ not only was chosen Most artistic coin, it won also the Coin of the Year award 2017.

On 4 February the trophy will be given to Italy during an official ceremony at the World Money Fair in Berlin. The competition is hold by the US periodical World Coin News.
