November 10, 2016 – In Berlin, the Numismata coin fair was held for the 18th time by now on October 15 and 16, 2016. That weekend, thousands of fans of numismatics and philately came to the Messe Berlin am Funkturm, to talk hobby, browse through the offer and meet collector friends in the familial atmosphere they are used to.

Erich Modes and his experienced team around Angela Mayboroda again made sure that the 18th Numismata Berlin awaited its guests with an impressive range of offers by renowned exhibitors from Germany and abroad: It included historical means of payment, primitive money, coins from ancient times to the present, euro coins, medals and precious metals as well as banknotes, shares and historical securities, rounded up by artefacts and specialized literature. Auction houses, coin and stamp trading houses, grading services, publishing companies and vendors of accessories – they all guaranteed that hardly any wish was left unfulfilled.

Published by Numismata in co-operation with CoinsWeekly, the fair catalog was also well-received. Every visitor of the 18th Numismata Berlin was gifted with his or her complimentary copy of a brochure that was available exclusively at the fair. The collector was thus given a complete price guide to the talers of Frederick the Great and a round-up of what is currently going on in Berlin in terms of numismatics.

Certainly one or the other stamp enthusiast had a look at the catalog, too. Conducted in the same hall as the Numismata and accessible with the same entrance ticket, the stamp fair likewise offered a broad spectrum: The stamps, postcards, letters and first day covers attracted great interest. As usual, the booths of the Postal Administrations were particularly well-visited.
With the autumn event in Berlin, the Numismata achieved another success. All the fans of the numismatic long-runner should thus mark the dates for the upcoming fairs:
Numismata Munich: March 4 and 5, 2017
Numismata Vienna/Austria: April 7 and 8, 2017
And the next Numismata Berlin will be held on October 14 and 15, 2017.
