March 28, 2013 – Franky Leeuwerck has published on his scripophily blog a method for identifying certificates and other collectibles one might not have been able to read. He points at the possibility not only to search for images with Google but also to upload an image. Google will look for similar pictures on the web and you might find another specimen described and identified already.
Although this may not always work with coins, particularly those difficult to identify because in a poor conservation status, the results will probably be entertaining all the same.
If you want to try this method, just read the blog of how to do it on Franky’s Scripophily blog.
