Electric Conductivity

The electric conductivity is a physical parameter, which indicates the ability of a material to conduct an electric current. The inverse of conductivity is called specific resistance. The worldwide common measurement unit is IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard). This parameter is expressed in percent of the conductivity of (soft) annealed copper. The electric conductivity of today’s coin systems usually lies between 2% and 20% IACS.
