June 14, 2012 – On Sunday, June 10, 2012 coin dealer Wayne Justice opened his shop in New Port Richey, Florida, to admit a customer well-known to him, 25-year-old Jacob Sanborn – previously convicted.
Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco describes the circumstances according to Mr Wayne’s statement: ‘They were talking for a few minutes looking at merchandise and at that time the suspect pulled a knife on Mr. Justice.’
A decisive detail, however, was unknown to the attacker: 52-year-old Wayne Justice has a concealed weapons permit; thus he pulled out a gun and fired a shot right into Sanborn’s chest. The injured staggered out of the shop collapsing then on the street. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, while Mr Wayne suffered only a cut on his ear. Currently police is investigating but no charges are expected since the coin dealer – according to his description of events – acted compliantly with US law.
