Australian kilo coins mark Queen’s jubilee
As a former branch of the Royal Mint, The Perth Mint is honouring its British heritage by releasing two majestic kilo coins to celebrate the 60 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The silver and gold coins feature the St Edward’s Crown edged by 60 diamond motifs.
The first golden florin on a collector coin
On June 15, 2012 the Hungarian Mint issued a gold collector coin that reproduces in its centre a historic gold florin of King Charles I (1301-1342). This is the first coin in the series “Gold Florins of Medieval Hungary”.
