ANS Awarded Funding for NEH / Mellon Foundation’s Open Book Program
The digitization of the American Numismatic Society’s backlist of monographs has been funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. All of the ANS’s book-length publications through 2010 will be made available for free online for anyone to use.

To highlight the issue of global warming on the Antarctic, British Pobjoy Mint produces a coin that reveals a hologram effect within an image of the Larsen B Ice Shelf. Tying together the whole theme, the coin’s rim has been designed with a cracked ice effect.

Icon of American numismatics passed away
In the night to Monday, May 15, 2017, Catherine Bullowa-Moore has died aged 97. Having been dealing with coins since 1953, she was one of the few women who, already in the 1950s, managed to succeed in numismatics.
