Since 1997, every year the Paper Money Fair – one of the world’s most important banknote fairs – takes place in Valkenburg in the Netherlands. Recently it has been announced that the multi-purpose hall in which the fair takes place will have to be renovated in the foreseeable future. In order to ensure the continuity of the event, the organiser therefore decided to change venue.

In 2020, the Paper Money Fair will still take place in Valkenburg. From 2021 on, the banknote experts will gather in the “Brabanthallen” in s’Hertogenbosch, approximately 80 kilometres south-east of Amsterdam. From then on, coins will no longer be part of the fair – the event will exclusively focus on paper money.
